Giacomo Cattelan

Born in Vicenza in 2000, he started learning electric and acoustic guitar as a teenager, and having pursued the idea of making one, he discovered the world of luthiery. After his high school graduation in chemistry and biotechnology, he studied at the Parma violinmaking school “Renato Scrollavezza”, taught by Elisa Scollavezza, Andrea Zanré, obtaining his diploma in 2025. The following year he began an apprenticeship period in the United Kingdom at Tim Toft Violins. In 2023, he also attended a course about methods and considerations for the antiquing of instruments, taught by Philip Ihle at the Bilbao Violin making school.
