Suji Kim

Born in Korea in 1999, she developed a strong artistic sensibility from a young age owing to the Waldorf education system, commencing her path in violinmaking in her homeland. She moved to Italy to follow this vocation, training in Cremona with Daniele Scolari and furthering her studies at the Parma violin making school “Renato Scrollavezza”, with Elisa Scrollavezza, Andrea Zanré, Michele Dobner and Frederic Noharet. After some work experience at Scrollavezza & Zanré atelier and at the workshop of Ioannis Apostolou, she now collaborates with colleagues who share a similar vision and working methods, dedicating herself to the creation of instruments that blend together the rigour of Italian tradition with her own aesthetic research.
